COMMISSION

After finishing the initiation probation process (IPP), the “Athlete in Training” has completed the probation period and is ready for the new member ceremony to be commissioned for a sport. Sports are considered “Major” areas, where members are assigned a concentration for service.

Our ceremony serves as a rite of passage for our members who recites and commits to our motto, pledge and Word of Honour. They receive a themed care package box which includes an official membership certificate/card, discipleship workbook, and official Comets letter and letterman sweater.

After the declaration of a major, members begin a youth discipleship bible study series called "I am a disciple." for a duration of 3-6 months meeting on a weekly basis.
