COMETS LEGACY FUND
The Comets Legacy Fund (CLF), sponsored and managed by The Metro Mentorship Initiative - a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is where purpose meets play—fueling opportunities for young athletes to rise through sports, faith, and mentorship. Every tax-deductible gift directly empowers youth from under-resourced communities to dream bigger, grow stronger, and shine brighter on and off the field.
Through a combination of community engagement, parent and volunteer support, corporate sponsorships, and philanthropic giving, CLF supplements Austin Comets' athletic budget by supporting these key areas:

- LiftOff Scholarships – Covering program fees, travel, uniforms, equipment, supplies, nutrition and training.
- Sports-Specific Giving (Sponsor-A-Program) – Donors choose the team or program that moves you and make a difference where it matters most.
- Program & Operations Support – Funding for staffing and recruiting: coaches, administrators, and staff salaries.
- Capital Projects – Assisting with facilities, fields, and athletic infrastructure.
- Endowments – Establishing a permanent fund for ACA.
- Special Events – Celebration dinners, outings and networking initiatives to strengthen ties to the work.
