  • Create and implement practice plans that integrate physical activity, teamwork, and character-building.

  • Supervise, train, and mentor assistant coaches, team managers, and volunteers.

  • Ensure safe and supportive environments with appropriate supervision ratios (1:5 to 1:15).

  • Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and community partners.

  • Manage site logistics, equipment, and supplies.

  • Support seasonal events such as Winter Break Camps, intramurals, and student showcases.

  • Represent MM and Austin Comets Athletics with professionalism, enthusiasm, and faith-driven leadership.

Qualifications

  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Ability to recruit, motivate, and supervise interns, volunteers and part-time staff.

  • Passion for sports, teamwork, and faith-based youth development.

  • Must pass a state and federal background check.

  • First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).

Position Details
  • Type: Part-time (5–10 hours/week per site)

  • Schedule: Afternoons (3–4:30 pm) and/or mornings (7:30–9 am), depending on school site

  • Support program promotion with flyers, social media posts, and school/community outreach.

  • Assist the Head Coach in program flow (student check-in, snack distribution, and dismissal).

  • Help coordinate seasonal showcases, family events, and special activities.

  • Ensure compliance with program safety standards and incident reporting.

  • Provide administrative and communication support to coaches, volunteers, and site partners.

Qualifications
